In Chicago's downtown, near Lake Michigan, is the beginning of Old Route 66, on the corner of Jackson and Michigan Ave. In 1937, the beginning of Route 66 was moved to Jackson and Lake Shore Drive. This photograph is a composite of the two beginnings of Route 66.
